Physical Rubber prices witness firmness on Monday

Physical Rubber prices showed firmness on Monday due to rising demand from tyre-makers and domestic stockists. Though, expectation of a rise in India's natural rubber production, trimmed some gains. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety jumped to 150/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 148/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety gained Rs 147/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 145/ kg.

In the futures market, June delivery fell to Rs 157 compared to its previous closing of Rs 158.41, while July delivery was at Rs 154.50 compared to its previous close of Rs 155.89 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
