Nickel futures fall 1.03% on low spot demand

Nickel futures were trading lower during the noon trade in the domestic market on Monday due to reducing of positions by speculators amid sluggish demand at the spot market. Analysts said subdued demand at the spot market mainly led to the fall in nickel futures prices.

At the MCX, nickel futures for October 2019 contract is trading at Rs 1235.70 per kg, down by 1.03 per cent, after opening at Rs 1246.50, against a previous close of Rs 1248.50. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 1233.20.
