Mentha oil futures down 0.45% amid slow demand

Mentha oil futures were trading lower during the noon trade in the domestic market on Tuesday after a fall in demand for the commodity by consuming industries at spot markets. Speculators cut positions in mentha oil futures as demand from consuming industries slumped amid adequate supplies from key producing regions.

At the MCX, mentha oil futures for August 2019 contract is trading at Rs 1259.00 per kg, down by 0.45 per cent, after opening at Rs 1262.20, against a previous close of Rs 1264.70. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 1254.70.
